#LoveTobago: Breathtaking views of nature

Posted Oct 29, 2021

Whether you dream of saying “I Do” surrounded by lush rainforest, in the middle of a historical landmark, or overlooking the brightest blue ocean, Tobago is the perfect island for you to ensure your big day is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Let us inspire you today – see below our recommendations for wedding locations with stunning views of nature

Tobago Plantations Mangrove

If you’re looking for a truly unique backdrop for your wedding, you will find it hard to beat our mangroves at Tobago Plantations – they are not only beautiful to look at but they are rooted (excuse the pun!) in Tobagonian culture and heritage.

Whilst you will find mangroves on other parts of the island, there is nothing quite like the plantations!

Buccoo Historical Park

This location only opened up to the public in 2019, and already it’s a popular venue for weddings and photoshoots – it’s not hard to see why!

The old sugar mills with the wild climbing roots have been standing for generations and are perfect for any history lovers looking to get hitched at one of Tobago’s most famous historical locations.

Golf Course

One of our favourite golf courses is at Mt. Irvine Bay Resort – surrounded by palm trees and overlooking the ocean, it is an idyllic location for your big day. Say “I Do” on the lush green grass with the beach as a backdrop – don’t forget to make time for a quick game!

Forest meets ocean

Can’t decide between a forest wedding or a ceremony on the beach?

In Tobago you don’t have to choose! Villas are a popular wedding venue here in Tobago for those who want a smaller and more intimate celebration with a diversity of panoramic views.

With an eclectic mix of traditional to contemporary villas, there is enough to cover a variety of wedding themes where you can enjoy your wedding breakfast overlooking lush green forest, before taking a well-earned dip in your own private pool.

Forts

A sprawling 18th century fort overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Fort King George is one of Tobago’s most well-preserved historical sites and the perfect wedding location for any history lover.

With stunning views of the ocean and carefully restored remnants, it truly is one of our most unique wedding locations on the island!
